Crows Are Better

Crows are better than some people, Some people who pick at bones, After the flesh is torn off, As they waited and watched The body fail, Little by little, Its mind quake, Asking for help But they’re laughing cause well Isn’t it better to watch people break Than doing your job to keep some things sane?

Dedicated to some of my teachers because I wish they were crows Who’d pick at bones, Tear flesh unapologetically, Wear feathers dark like stone, Instead of hiding their faces, Their hyena laugh, Waiting for you to bleed So they can fill up a glass. And how lucky for them For they live unburdened.

They will never be chased out For the ones who rule this world Are hunting down the cubs They’re supposed to raise.

Sorry but you should have done your damn job. 9.9.19
